For the first time since the 2019 Japanese Grand Prix, F1 qualifying was held on the same day as the Grand Prix.
Postponed from Saturday to Sunday morning, qualifying took place in difficult, wet conditions, with all three qualifying sessions seeing at least one red flag.
George made it through to Q3 in ever-changing track conditions and secured P2 on the grid.
Lewis, on the other hand, just missed out on Q2, finishing 16th. He will start the race from 15th place due to a grid penalty for Max Verstappen.
The team now has just a few hours to prepare for the São Paulo Grand Prix, which will start at 12.30pm local time (3.30pm GMT).
