We’ll be racing around the streets of Monte Carlo for six more years

Formula 1 has announced that the Monaco Grand Prix will remain on the F1 schedule until 2031, inclusive, after a six-year extension to their deal.

Monaco is one of the most iconic venues on the F1 calendar and first featured during the sport’s maiden season in 1950.

Since 1955, it’s been a permanent fixture, playing host to some of F1’s most memorable moments and dramatic races.

Known for its twisty nature, little margin for error and famous corners such as the Loews Hairpin, Casino Square and Swimming Pool, Monaco is an F1 weekend like no other.

It’s a race that’s also played host to many memorable moments for Mercedes in F1.

From that stunning pole lap by Michael Schumacher in 2012, to three consecutive wins for Nico Rosberg in the principality.

There was Lewis’ victory in 2016 from third on the grid, his epic defensive drive in 2019 to win – in the same week that we lost our friend and Non-Executive Chairman, Niki Lauda.

It’s also a busy weekend off-track, too. With the glitz and glamour always bringing excitement to the Monaco GP.

Merging that with the motorsport world makes Monaco such a special event.

From AMG concept car launches on the water, to incredible partner events onboard the Ritz-Carlton yacht or at the stunning La Vigie.

There are some great memories from Monaco and we can’t wait to make more of them over the next six years.
