Once a part of the Mercedes family, always a part of the Mercedes family.

Our latest signing for 2025 is a prime example of that. Valtteri Bottas is coming back to Brackley, and Toto and the whole team cannot wait to work with the Finn again.

Toto said: "Valtteri's impact and contribution in the five years he was us previously as our race driver was immense.

"Along with scoring multiple Grands Prix wins, he played a vital role in five of our championship victories."

It is worth remembering those five Constructors' Championships came in consecutive years between 2017 and 2021, every season VB got behind the wheel of the Silver Arrows. How many drivers in F1 history can say they have been part of such a run?

In his five seasons, he also managed two P2 and two P3 finishes in the Drivers' standings.

But the Finn's impact was not just felt on track.

"His technical feedback and input were important in helping us to those success and pushing the team forward," Toto added.

"Not only that, but he was also a fantastic colleague and team member. His dry sense of humour and personable nature made him a firm favourite with everyone at Brackley and Brixworth."

And with the youngest average age driver line-up on the grid for 2025, the 35-year-old's experience will prove invaluable.

Toto said: "In his role as Reserve Driver, all those qualities will be incredibly important in helping us compete for world championships and supporting both George and Kimi on track.

"Welcome home, Valtteri! It's great to have you back."
