About the Role:

A vacancy has arisen for a CMM Inspector within the Machine Shop Inspection Department.

Reporting to the Machine Shop Inspection Team Leader, you will be responsible for the efficient inspection and verification of components, to ensure adherence to specification, in accordance with defined procedures and priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operating CMM machines to validate dimensional accuracy of components against drawing specifications.

  • Programming of CMM machines using PCDMIS metrology software.

  • Efficient use of measuring, gauging and inspection tools to validate mechanical and visual characteristics of components.

  • Strict adherence to drawings, defined operating procedures and work instructions.

  • Flexible approach to working in order to achieve lead times, within a fast-paced environment.

  • Working within defined Health and Safety guidelines.

To be successful you will have:

The successful candidate will come from an engineering background, possess relevant qualifications and have a strong working knowledge of engineering drawings, alongside a strong knowledge of G,D & T. Experience within a Motorsport environment (preferably F1) would be advantageous. Computer literate (including Microsoft Office and ideally SAP) with a conscientious mind-set and a keen eye for detail, as accuracy is paramount.

You will possess effective communication skills and will have the ability to remain focused and objective under pressure. You will be able to demonstrate a process mind-set with the capability for logically solving complex problems. Resilient and professional with a belief in the concept of Continuous Improvement. Energetic with a strong work ethic and customer focus.

Flexibility in hours and a can-do approach is required, along with the ability to work in a team, under pressure and to strict deadlines with minimum supervision.

Experience of the following would be beneficial:

  • Experienced in the use of CMM Machines and Romer Arms.

  • Practical and working knowledge of G,D & T.

  • PC-DMIS programming (highly advantageous).

  • Experienced in the use of ERP software (ideally SAP).
