About the Role:

As the Finance Business Partnering Manager, you will report directly into the Director of Financial Operations within the Financial Operations team. Working collaboratively within the team, you will provide leadership and direction to the Finance Business Partnering function in support of the Director of Financial Operations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure best in class finance business partnering; reviewing team business partner performance and deliverables to the business and identifying improvement opportunities.

  • Ensure there is a robust understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow position across the finance business partnering team. From both a Statutory and Financial Regulations perspective.

  • Support in the delivery of accurate financial planning and reporting to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Project sponsor on key system and process improvement projects, establishing a strong relationship with Finance Transformation team.

  • Oversee the migration of Financial Regulation data generation, insight, and reporting responsibility into the Financial Operations team.

  • Management of three direct reports.

  • Business Partnering responsibility for overhead cost centres.

  • Team co-ordination responsibilities e.g. ensuring adequate cover in place for all roles.

  • Project manage and deliver Finance Business Partner improvement initiatives.

  • Establish strong relationships with the wider teams within Finance, particularly Financial Accounting and Commercial Finance.

  • Co-ordinate Statutory and Financial Regulation audit topics for the Financial Operations team.

  • Other administrative responsibilities e.g. management of system access controls / data hierarchies etc.

Candidate Profile:

  • CIMA/ACCA qualified with extensive post qualified experience in Finance Business Partnering or similar role in large, complex organisations, and ideally with a relevant degree.

  • Ability to build and maintain excellent cross functional working relationships, responding to their needs and guiding where appropriate.

  • An effective communicator that can take complex financial information and present it to non-financial colleagues.

  • An ability to navigate detail whist also being able to summarise and communicate a position effectively.

  • Adaptable and forward looking, embracing a fast-paced working environment.

  • Attention to detail and proficiency to self-review.

  • Experience of managing a team.

  • Experience of SAP would be an advantage.

  • A Strong Communicator with the ability to influence key decisions.
