Saturday at the Austrian Grand Prix began with an exciting F1 Sprint Race in Spielberg.
George and Lewis started the third F1 Sprint of the year from P4 and P6 on the second and third rows of the grid respectively. All cars started on used Medium tyres, only the two Sauber drivers had fitted new Medium tyres.
The start was cancelled because photographers were standing behind the barriers in Turn 1, which posed a safety risk. Another formation lap followed and the sprint race distance was shortened by one lap to 23 laps.
