In pictures: Memorable George Moments from 2023

While 2023 wasn't quite the year George would have wanted, he brought home some valuable points to help the team secure P3 in the Constructors' Championship and in the process claim his 10th podium as a Mercedes driver.

Here's a look through just some of George's best moments from the year.

Spanish GP

A first double podium of the season for the team also gave George his first top three in the W14. A really positive result for us and one we hope to replicate many more times in the future.

British GP

Who could forget these? George very kindly gifted Toto a shirt with Susie's face on it and even had a special one of his own to wear - we can't confirm whether they will be available in the Team Store.

Abu Dhabi GP

George's most important race weekend of the season.

Before the racing, our driver got to share a moment with a special guest - former Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.

The pair swapped bespoke overalls prior to the race as Sergio joined the team as a special guest.

After the fun of meeting Aguero, it was back to the serious business on the track - and George delivered.

A superb drive brought George his second podium finish of the season and helped us secure P2 in the Constructors' Championship.

George reacts to memes

Who could forget the George memes? It's fair to say 2023 was the year of the George meme and what better way to celebrate than George reacting to George memes. So much George!

George extends contract

It was a big year for George and we were delighted to announce that he had extended his contract with the team until the end of 2025.

George's extension was announced alongside Lewis' deal which will keep the duo together for the next two seasons.

Partners

George also spent time visiting our PETRONAS partners in Malaysia, seeing the great work they do at the Regasification Terminal in Pengerang.

Here's just a few of George's memorable moments from the season as 2023 draws to a close and we're looking to many more in 2024.
