Podiums Aplenty for Doriane and Alex

Our Junior Drivers put in some stellar performances at the weekend, with Doriane Pin and Alex Powell completing a clean sweep of podiums in their respective series'.

Doriane was competing in the second round of F1 Academy in Miami, on the support bill for the Formula One race.

Having crossed the line first in both races in Saudi Arabia in March, before a post-race penalty in race two dropped her back, Doriane was keen to keep the positive momentum going in Miami.

She qualified second and third and maintained those positions to the chequered flag in the two action-packed races, adding two more trophies to her collection and scoring a good haul of points.

The French racer now sits second in the Drivers' standings with 65 points, 34 behind leader Abbi Pulling in the Alpine.

Barcelona plays host to the next round of F1 Academy as part of the Spanish GP schedule and Doriane's back on track this weekend at the Hockenheimring in Germany for her first Formula Regional European Championship event.

Meanwhile, over in Italy, Alex was competing in his first Italian F4 weekend of the season, against a very competitive field of racers.

Like Doriane, this is Alex's first full season in single seaters and he impressed from the get-go in Misano, Italy.

The American-Jamaican qualified second for all three races and fought hard throughout, to maintain his position and pick up three well-deserved podiums.

Having been runner-up in the three races, he was also the lead rookie in each of them, therefore taking three wins in the Rookie Championship, too.

So, lots of trophies to take home for Alex after a successful start to his Italian F4 season!
