After a double points finish and podium for George in Baku, we now set our sights on Singapore, to complete the first double-header flyaway of the second half of the season.

Whatever the result, the team will look to celebrate as we mark the 50th anniversary of title and technical partner PETRONAS.

With Marina Bay as our next location, the team will look to regain that pre-summer break form.

“Although a street circuit like Baku, Marina Bay is a different challenge. Physically, it is incredibly demanding on both the drivers and team members,” said Toto.

“The heat and humidity play a big role in that but so does the track itself.

“It is bumpy in places, contains a mixture of both low and high-speed corners, and the walls are waiting to catch you out.”

The team arrived in Baku looking to bounce back after a tricky double-header in Zandvoort and Monza.

Though George managed to secure a podium last weekend in Azerbaijan, the car’s pace at times left the team with questions.

“We will take the learnings from Baku and aim for an improved performance in Singapore,” Toto said.

“At times, our pace was strong, but we couldn't deliver that consistently.”

The issues from Baku were not new to the team, and there were still plenty of positives to build on.

“Our main challenge was controlling tyre temperatures and that is something we know we need to improve upon,” Toto said.

“It is encouraging that, when we get the car working, we have the pace to be competitive.

“Whilst we came away with a podium though, we know that it was fortuitous, and we were P5 on merit.”

This year’s Singapore Grand Prix will be extra special for the team, as we mark the 50th anniversary of our title and technical partner PETRONAS.

“Singapore has become a key race for our title and technical partner PETRONAS in recent seasons, as the closest event to Malaysia,” said Toto.

“We are excited that this year we will be part of their 50th anniversary celebrations.

“We have enjoyed a strong and fruitful relationship. Working together, we have achieved incredible success over the past 15 years.

“That relationship continues to grow as we push forward with our sustainability ambitions both on and off track, including the exciting work around sustainable fuels for 2026.

“We have several exciting moments planned as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations over the next week and look forward to sharing them with our fans.”
