'Ready To Get Back Racing in Zandvoort' - Toto Previews Dutch GP

After almost a month without F1, the team returns to action this weekend in Zandvoort for the Dutch Grand Prix.

With 10 races and three Sprints awaiting the F1 paddock before the end of 2024, there is still so much to play for.

The first half of the season finished in stark contrast to how it started, with three wins from four races, two pole positions, and six races in succession with a podium finish.

Compare that to the opening seven races, when the team managed a best Grand Prix finish of P5 and a P2 in the China Sprint, and it is clear the team's hard work was bearing fruit as the summer break approached.

Now it is time to see if we can pick up from where we left off. Toto said: "We are ready to get back racing this weekend in Zandvoort.

"Ahead of the summer break, we built momentum with an improved car and stronger results. We will look to continue that progress into the final 10 races of the season."

What to Look Forward To In Rest of 2024

The positive development in W15 has been clear for all to see, but Toto believes there is still a way to go to get back on top. "We know we have ground to make up," he said. "We are not yet able to compete for victories at every Grand Prix.

"We have made good steps in improving the W15's weaknesses though and will continue to work hard to take more.

"If we can do so, then we will close the gap to those ahead in both championships."

The gap to Ferrari in P3 in the Constructors' stands at 79 points, but the margin to the Scuderia has come down from 156 over the past six races.

Rolling dunes, seaside air and a party atmosphere, there is no place like Zandvoort.

Preparing to host its fourth Grand Prix since returning to the calendar in 2021, it tests an F1 car in ways other layouts cannot.

Toto said: "Zandvoort is a challenging track. With its banked corners, high-speed sections, and narrow layout, it has an old-school feel.

"The passionate Dutch fans always create a great atmosphere. It is a good place to get back to work and we're excited for the challenges ahead over the rest of the season."
