It’s not just our F1 car that has a new look for 2025…

As preparations continue to ramp up ahead of the new season, the Mercedes-AMG F1 Academy #28’s livery has been revealed, all set for Doriane Pin’s tilt at the title in her second season.

The car combines both the famous silver of the Mercedes Silver Arrows and the black that has become synonymous with the German marques works F1 team.

Added to this is the team’s volt green, demarking Doriane’s place in the junior programme, with Qualcomm Technologies, Inc, senior partner of the Mercedes-AMG F1 Academy entry, represented by the Snapdragon brand.

Doriane is one of the foremost female drivers in motorsport, and has just one target in her mind for the season ahead: Becoming champion.

Doriane said: “I’m really excited for the new season. I have been working incredibly hard over the winter to be as prepared as possible for the year ahead. I’m determined to give it everything I’ve got, and to push myself even further, to fight for the title. That is the only goal I have in mind.

“Revealing the livery for this year’s car is another milestone that helps build my excitement. I think it looks absolutely incredible and it’s such an honour to represent Mercedes and the team’s junior programme in F1 Academy.

“I also want to thank Snapdragon for their continued support and I’m looking forward to doing everyone proud, starting in China later this month.”

The 21-year-old Frenchwoman claimed three victories and five further podium finishes en route to finishing second in last year’s championship. More remarkably, 2024 marked just her first full year of single-seater racing.

F1 Academy aims to develop and prepare female drivers to progress to higher levels of competition. Heading into its third season, the series will continue to race on the F1 support bill for all seven rounds and race across the globe.

The 2025 campaign begins in China on March 22nd before heading to Saudi Arabia, Miami, Canada, the Netherlands, Singapore, and concluding on the famous Las Vegas Strip in the United States.

Doriane, who is also a member of the renowned Iron Dames programme, has progress rapidly in motorsport. A breakthrough year in 2022 which saw the then teenager become Ferrari Challenge Europe champion, winning nine out of 14 races, claim victory at the prestigious 24 Hours of Spa, and take a historic win at the European Le Mans Series season-finale in the GTE-AM class.

That success precipitated a move into the FIA World Endurance Championship for 2023, competing in the LMP2 category alongside Mirko Bortolotti, and former F1 driver Daniil Kvyat.

The crew claimed a podium at the season-opening race and Doriane went on to become the first woman to win the coveted ‘Revelation of the Year’ Award.

She ended the year by getting her first racing experiencing in single-seaters, finishing second overall and claiming a race win in both the Formula 4 South East Asia and Formula 4 Middle East Championships.

A switch to single-seaters full-time followed in 2024 with Doriane dovetailing her F1 Academy commitments with a Formula Regional Europe campaign. She will run a similar combined programme in 2025.
