Team Aiming for 'Better Performance' as Flyaways Begin:
Toto Previews Baku

From two old school tracks in the heart of Europe, to the tight, twisty streets of Azerbaijan and Singapore.

A second post-summer double-header in awaits the F1 paddock, starting this weekend in Baku.

With the Caspian Sea as the backdrop, the team will look to steady the ship after a far from plain-sailing back-to-back at Zandvoort and Monza.

"We head to Baku aiming for a better performance than we showed in Zandvoort and Monza," said Toto.

"Both were difficult races for us. Our relative pace was not as strong as it was prior to the summer break and several of our competitors took a step forward."

This is not the time to hit the panic button, though.

"We showed good pace at moments across both weekends but were unable to unlock this consistently, and we have spent the time since analysing why this was," added Toto.

"We have the opportunity to show we have done the necessary learning and made improvements both for this weekend in Azerbaijan and the following week in Singapore."

What Does an F1 Driver Do Between Races

Few, if any, tracks on the F1 calendar are more eclectic than Baku, and few test a driver physically in the same way as Marina Bay in Singapore.

"Both are challenging street circuits," said Toto.

"They are bumpy, have many low-speed and 90 degree corners, but also feature plenty of high-speed sections.

"They will pose a different test to the ones we faced in the Netherlands and Italy."

Race Guide: Azerbaijan GP

There is reason to be excited for the final third of the 2024 season. Six different winners from the past seven races for four different constructors means F1 is as unpredictable as it has been for years.

Our aim is to be in the mix in that fight at the front.

"There is plenty of racing left and we will be fighting for every point possible, starting this weekend in Baku," said Toto.

"We have eight flyaway races before the chequered flag falls in Abu Dhabi. We are focused on ending the season as strongly as possible."
