The Mercedes-AMG F1 Team Guide to Goodwood

As we gear up for another thrilling weekend at the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed, here’s everything you need to know about what we have planned.

What can I expect from the Team at Goodwood?

Action for the Team starts on Friday, with Esteban Gutierrez returning for a second successive year to the crowds lined along the famous hay bales.

Esteban will complete two runs in the car that clinched the 2021 World Constructors’ Championship with Lewis and Valtteri, the W12 E PERFORMANCE. With the W12 decked out in our 2023 livery, Esteban will be driving the chassis used at the 2021 Italian Grand Prix.

Saturday is a day for nostalgia as Mick makes his Goodwood debut in his Dad’s 2011 Mercedes MGP W02.

As revealed by the Team earlier this week, Mick will also be wearing iconic red helmet and race suit worn by Michael during the 2011 season.

This was the second Mercedes car that Michael drove following his return to the sport the previous year, with the seven-time champion achieving a best result of fourth in Canada, finishing the season with 76 points.

Mick will take part in two runs on Saturday, with Esteban back for two more runs in W12. An early morning run from Esteban kick-starts our Sunday, before Mick jumps into the both the W02 and W12 to round out our final day at Goodwood Festival of Speed.

What else can I see at Goodwood?

When not heading up the hill, both cars will be on display through the weekend in our garage in the F1 Pit Lane so be sure to stop by and say hello, take photos and learn more about everything we do.

It’s not just Formula 1 cars on display at Goodwood, the many paddocks and stands across the site will also feature an array of Mercedes-Benz and Mercedes-AMG cars from across the years so there is something for everyone.

How can I follow the Festival of Speed?

Follow the Team’s official social media channels to stay up to speed with all the action live from the Sussex hills and tune into the daily livestream via the Goodwood YouTube channel.
