We are committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Your personal data will only be used in accordance with this privacy notice ("Notice"). To ensure that you understand how your personal data will be used, please read this Notice in full.

When used in this Notice, unless otherwise stated, the terms "controller", "personal data", "process", and "processing" shall have the meanings given to them in Applicable Data Protection Laws.

Our privacy practices reflect applicable legal requirements, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018 ("Applicable Data Protection Laws").

It is important that the personal data we hold about you is accurate and current. Please keep us informed if your personal data changes during your relationship with us.

We are pleased about your visit to the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team Hospitality Experience. In this Privacy Notice we explain how we collect your personal data, what we do with it, for what purposes and on what legal basis this is done, and which rights apply to you.

This Privacy Notice only relates to the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Hospitality Experience Survey which is used for registration, feedback and enter into prize draws (“Survey Webpage”) and does not apply to your activities on any other website or any websites of social networks that you can reach via the links on the Survey Webpage. Please check the websites of these providers for their data protection policies.

Collection and processing of your personal data

When you visit the Survey Webpage , we store certain information about data and information you input on these webpages (for example, the details you enter when registering to attend, your email address and your name if you submit it when asking a question to be entered into our hospitality raffle), the browser and operating system you use, the date and time of your visit, the access status (e.g. whether you were able to access the webpage or received an error message), the amount of data transferred. We also store your IP address and the name of your Internet service provider for a short period for security reasons, in particular to prevent and detect attacks on our websites or attempts at fraud.

We only store other personal data if you provide this data (e.g. if you consent to certain communications) and only insofar as this is permitted pursuant to an applicable legal basis of processing (further information on this can be found below in the section "Legal basis of processing").

You are not legally or contractually obliged to make available your personal data.

However, it is possible that certain functions of our Survey Webpage depend on the availability of personal data. If you do not make available personal data in these cases, this may result in functions not being available or only being available to a limited extent.

Purposes of use

We use the personal data collected when you visit the Survey Webpage to operate it in the most convenient manner for your use and to protect IT systems from attacks and other illegal activities. The data collected enables the team to better understand your feedback on our hospitality experience. The Qualtrics system (on which the Survey Webpage is run) is used to support Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team's experience management.

If you provide us with further personal data (e.g. within the scope of a registration), we use this data for the purposes mentioned, for the purposes of customer administration and - if necessary - for the purposes of processing and accounting of any business transactions, in each case to the extent required for this.

Transfer of personal data to third parties We may disclose your personal data to third parties:

  • if we engage third parties (including Qualtrics) to carry out any services in relation to the Survey Webpage including collating Survey results on our behalf;

  • where we use analytics providers and search engine providers that assist us in the improvement and optimisation of the Survey Webpage;

  • where we give you the option to (and if you have opted in to) receive marketing communications from us, if we engage third parties to carry out such marketing services for us;

  • in the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets;

  • if we (or substantially all of our assets) are acquired by a third party, in which case personal data held by it will be one of the transferred assets; and

  • if we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation.

Legal bases of processing

We generally process personal data for the purposes of safeguarding our legitimate interests and the legitimate interests of third parties. This includes maintaining the functionality of our IT systems, marketing our own and third-party products and services as well as documenting business contacts as required by law are such legitimate interests (further information on this can be found below in the section above "Purposes of use").

Insofar as you have given us your consent for the processing of your personal data, that consent is the legal basis for the processing.

For the processing of personal data for the purposes of initiating or fulfilling a contract with you, performance of a contract is the legal basis for the processing

Insofar as the processing of your personal data is necessary for the fulfilment of our legal obligations (e.g. for the retention of data), legal obligation is the legal basis for the processing.

Deletion of your personal data

Your IP address and the name of your Internet service provider, which we only store for security reasons and will be deleted after a short period (typically 7 days, unless we have reason to hold it for longer). Otherwise, we delete your personal data as soon as the purpose for which we have collected and processed the data ceases to apply. Beyond this point in time, data is only stored if this is required by the laws, regulations or other legal provisions of the UK, the European Union or of a member state of the European Union to which we are subject.

Your rights as a data subject

As a data subject, you have the right of access, right to rectification, right to erasure, right to restriction of processing and right to data portability.

If you have consented to the processing of your personal data by us, you have the right to revoke your consent at any time. The legality of processing your personal data before revocation remains unaffected. We may further process such data pursuant to another applicable legal basis, e.g. for the fulfilment of our legal obligations (cf. section "Legal bases of processing").

You have the right to object at any time to the processing of your personal data pursuant to on grounds relating to your particular situation. If you object, we will only process your personal data if we can prove compelling legitimate reasons that outweigh your interests, rights and freedoms, or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
