The 21-year-old French racer is gearing up for a second campaign representing the Team in the all-female racing series for 2025, with the season set to get begin in China this weekend.
Three wins, five podiums, and four pole positions helped the ‘Pocket Rocket’ to a runner-up finish in her series debut in 2024, and the goal is to go one better this time around.
Learning from Last Year
There was much to be proud of in Doriane’s 2024.
Dominant displays in Jeddah, Zandvoort, and Qatar demonstrated why she is regarded as one of the fastest females on the planet.
But it wasn’t all plain sailing.
“I learned a lot last year, it was a bit up and down,” explains Doriane.
“There were races where we performed really well, and we had to understand why we did that.
“Then there were more difficult races and getting over my injury in the middle of the season. I learned to understand how to handle that and what my body needed.
“No career will be green and beautiful all the time. It was important for me to have that kind of year. I discovered a lot about myself, and the bad things have helped me grow.”
Back in the Programme
After joining at the start of 2024, this year will be Doriane’s second in our Team’s junior programme.
Having previously impressed at endurance racing, Doriane puts much of her growth last season down to the support of the team – both on and off the track.
“It’s a massive opportunity to be here, and to have so many people bringing so much detail to your race preparation on track as well away from it,” she said.
“I am honoured to be here, and to have been given this opportunity again.”
Having the team share the most important moments meant a lot to the Iron Dames racer as well. Doriane has felt that from the top of the organisation down.
“The team were always coming to see me at the podium, and that included Toto. He is very involved in what I do. He follows all my races and supports me a lot when I come to the F1 races,” she says.
“Then I know that Gwen [Lagrue] will always be there too. He gives me things to think about over a race weekend, and they help me to improve.”
